Hey Friends!

I am glad you are here.

I guess maybe you clicked on the about button because you would like to learn more about me. Well I think I will share a little with you. I started painting with watercolors while I was in college around 2013. This was mostly splashing paint on a page with little direction and lot of frustration. I picked up the paintbrush intermittently. Fast forward to 2017 with the birth of our first child and I slowly started painting again. I started with little doodles and used pinterest as inspiration.

Then in 2018 my mom gifted me with an art subscription box that had step by step instructional videos. That is when I feel like I really started taking off. I went from aimlessly creating to creating with a purpose. In the following years I used watercolor as a way to spend less time on my phone and as an outlet.

In 2023 I was finally brave enough to start sharing my art with a wider audience than my family.

  • Faith and Nature

When I am observing nature I am in awe of God. I delight in observing the details in a flower, the color variation of a horse, and hearing the song of a meadowlark. I love the western way of life and the prairies they are sources of inspiration. My favorite subjects to paint are plants and animals that embody either of those two.

  • I love to spend time outside with my family, our dogs, and my horse. I believe that playing as a family or working on chores helps to deepen the bonds that we share. Watching animals live their life or taking it slow to watch a sunset leads to ideas of what to paint next, refreshes my soul, and inspires creativity.

Farmer's Market

My first event to sell at was the Canyon Farmer's Market in 2023. Every saturday morning I set up my booth with my watercolor art. Each week it was a delight to see new faces and regulars. Through the Farmer's Market I caught a glimpse of how much joy there was in sharing my art with others.
