Recently, I was told my calf paintings are so lifelike that you can almost hear them moo. Talk about a compliment.
If you are looking for a cute calf watercolor to decorate your walls with, then I think you have found what you are looking for. Especially if you are someone who wants to know that you are buying real art from a real person. So much of our lives these days can be automated, and hey, most of us appreciate that convenience, but there are some things that the human side of things can’t be replaced. Art is one of those things. The emotion and life phase that I am in is going to come out on the paper. That emotional connection can’t be replicated.
The connection you feel to the art that you are looking at is deeper when you can gaze at piece and see the variation in color and brush work. When your own life story is able to be seen in the piece. Not something that a couple of keystrokes created.
This calf is a red Angus calf cross that my granddad raised and my mom photographed. I then painted on watercolor paper that is attached to a board. This piece measures 8 x 10 inches and is varnished to allow for glass-free hanging.
